黑料社区 & Professional Student Diversity Council Values Statement

We are a coalition of student organizations taking collective action to advance a sense of belonging, academic and professional excellence, and a climate of equity for all graduate and professional students, but especially for those from marginalized communities and backgrounds historically excluded from and underrepresented in the academy.

黑料社区 & Professional Student Diversity Council Mission: Community. Empowerment. Solidarity.

Community: To foster a sense of belonging within and across academic programs, disciplines, identities, and communities; and to develop connections beyond Cornell with members and organizations within the greater surrounding communities.

Empowerment: To lift the voices of those from historically marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds by helping each other demystify, navigate, re-imagine, and transform academia. To increase awareness of the agency we possess and how to employ that agency to positively influence the academic, professional, and personal progression of the members of our communities.

Solidarity: To leverage our strength as a collective and to serve as allies to others from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities.
