Fall 2026 Orientation Highlights:

Dean’s Welcome

Thursday, August 20, 9 – 10 a.m., Bailey Hall

The formal program features the Cornell President, the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø School Dean and Vice Provost for ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Education, and a panel of esteemed faculty and students.

Grad Connect: A Resource Fair for ºÚÁÏÉçÇø and Professional Students

Thursday, August 20, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Barton Hall

This collaborative resource fair will allow graduate and professional degree students from across programs to engage with each other while learning more about the resources, offices, and organizations that help support their development and progression at Cornell. Open to incoming and current students.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø School Primer: Navigating Academia Workshop Series

Dates from mid-July through August

This workshop series is designed exclusively for first-year graduate and professional students and covers topics like understanding doctoral funding, mentoring, and much more. Sessions are all online via Zoom. Learn more about the Primer Series and register for sessions.

Summer Success Symposium for Research Degree Students

Tuesday, August 18, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., G10 Biotechnology Building

A professional and community development event for new and continuing research degree students from across graduate fields. Open to all interested research degree students, this symposium has a particular focus on bringing together ºÚÁÏÉçÇø School Dean’s Scholars. Symposium keynote and workshop content focused on providing participants with access to knowledge and insights that will help them navigate their successful transition into and progression through their graduate studies. For Our International Students:

Fall 2026 International ºÚÁÏÉçÇø and Professional Student Orientation

Saturday, August 22, 1 – 4 p.m., Statler Auditorium

! The Office of Global Learning’s orientation is for first year international graduate and professional students. It gives students an early start on their Cornell experience by introducing them to important  and helping them connect with their classmates from around the world.

The English Language Support Office (ELSO) provides writing, speaking, and language support to Cornell graduate and professional students who use English as an additional language. .
